I like gen, het, slash, femslash, poly-ships (poly-v too), etc. You're welcome to interpret my character noms as any, rather than all, though you're free to include all characters in a fic if you want! I'm also okay with not including all of the nominated characters. Also, if you want to include unnominated characters, I'm absolutely okay with that too!

What I Love:
I'm really, really into gothic romance/gothic horror/horror of any stripe. I also love ambiguous/happy for now/sad endings. I love things that are not necessarily tied up with a neat pretty bow. That's not to say I don't enjoy a happy ending, though! This is mostly just to reassure you, the author, that if a happy ending doesn't seem to fit the story, or isn't coming, don't stress about it. I love endings that fit the story being told, regardless of whether or not they're happy. Aside from horror, I like romcoms, romcoms/comedies of errors, found family/families of choice, strong platonic friendships, broad comedy, understated/subtle comedy, cats (characters adopting/owning cats, turning into cats, caring for cats, cat familiars, werecats, etc.), religious and philosophical themes, postmodernism, and pastiche/epistolary to name just a few.
I tend to leave all art decisions up to the individual artist. The only art style I'm not into is chibi art, but other than that, knock yourselves out!

Also I feel like he'd have feelings about their age difference that Syd would be more blasé about. How would they deal with that?
What if Carmy finds out they've been sleeping together? Even though, for the purposes of this prompt, nothing's happening between Syd/Carmy Carmy would still have feelings about Syd/Richie. How would the three of them deal with that?

Maybe a deleted/missing scene where they do hook up or try to have a secret relationship, maybe an AU where Hotch and Emily end up together instead of Hotch/Beth, or a post-canon or CM:E era story where Hotch comes back to the BAU for some reason and he and Emily have things to work out together.

My interest in this one is pretty superficial: I saw a gifset from Oedipus Wrecks and interpreted Bailey's reaction to Emily unbuttoning her shirt and fluffing her hair to go interrogate Benjamin Reeves as sexual panic. I would't argue with Domme Emily/Sub Bailey. How do the agents unwind after difficult cases....... (Non-permanent character death for Bailey would be nice. Maybe he faked his death for reasons, he doesn't get shot/killed, or he comes back supernaturally?)
Garcia/Hotch
I enjoy a good "Hotch was always an UNSUB" or "Hotch becomes an UNSUB after leaving the BAU" AU, but I also like undercover as a couple/married and the various ways that trope can go wrong. Maybe Hotch is wanted by the FBI and, desperate to clear his name, abducts Garcia to help in that.
Elle/Spencer
I love the idea that Elle becomes someone the BAU has to hunt, and how that affects Spencer and perhaps pushes him toward her in a way, or Elle dying of her gunshot wound and becoming a ghost who continues to haunt the BAU, specifically, Spencer. What if Spencer thinks she's a hallucination of his, when he believes he could be schizophrenic?
Garcia/Alvez
◊ Someone starts stalking Garcia and she leans on Luke for support. The stalker can be someone from her past or an OC.
◊ AU. Penelope is kidnapped and both Luke and Penelope are forced to confront their previously unacknowledged feelings for one another.
◊ AU. The bad guys make them do it (for blackmail material or just because they're bad guys). They're rescued by the team, but things are tense and awkward. Do they work through it, or is their relationship broken beyond repair?

If you couldn't tell from my freeforms, I'm intrigued by the many possibilities for this pair either within the world of canon or in AU/what-if scenarios. I'm not really interested in redemption or redemption arcs; if anything, I think I'd prefer a corruption arc for Gabi than a redemption arc for Sir. I'm also interested in canon tweaks/what-ifs/etc., for example: like an AU where Gabi doesn't escape Sir or a canon tweak where Sir's motivations for kidnapping were more sinister than trying to cultivate and nurture a brilliant mind or rather than kidnapping Gabi as a high school student Sir kidnapped her when she was in college. Not to be a huge nerd but I'm really interested in seeing what shifting their relationship from non-sexual into sexual/romantic/etc would change, with the characters/in their lives/in canon and so on.

What if Mirror Lorca survived somehow, or is resurrected on Discovery? Especially curious to see what would happen if either Original Lorca or Mirror Lorca ended up on Discovery during Pike's tenure?
They have some Hades/Persephone vibes going on that I subconsciously latched onto while watching the show (and adore) so leaning into the gothic romance tropes with these two is always appreciated. Maybe she does actually intend to stay with him instead of trying to trick him. How does that go for her? How does that go for Mirror Lorca? Does staying with him change Michael (for better or worse), or does it change Mirror Lorca?
I also got the strong sense that Mirror Georgiou was manipulating Michael to get her onto her side/turn her against Mirror Lorca... So that's my baseline for Michael/Mirror Lorca. What if Michael eventually finds out Georgiou lied to her about Lorca/his relationship with Mirror Michael? Does that change things?
With Burnham and Mirror Lorca, specifically, I don't want a redemption story where he learns how to be a good person and/or how to better himself. I would actually love to see a story where perhaps he works some of Michael's/the Federation's sunnier, kinder, more optimistic worldview into his own while remaining true to "himself." I'd love to see him struggle with having his worldview changed the more he's around prime Michael, and how he copes with that. (Or doesn't.)
(Nuanced/complicated takes on Mirrorverse are like catnip to me also, fwiw.)
Michael/Prime Lorca
What if Original Flavor Lorca finds his way back to the Discovery (either in an AU where Discovery didn't jump 900 years into the future, or Lorca himself ends up in the future). How do the crew members (especially Burnham) deal with his presence, especially if he's similar in temperament to Mirror Lorca?
Seasons 1 and 2 are my personal favorites from Discovery so all my prompts will focus on that era of the show. (Also it's safe to assume I prefer to pretend Mirror Lorca didn't die or comes back/is resurrected in some way.)
So, I'm going through a Disco resurgence and I'm freshly obsessed with any and all combination of Michael Burnham and Gabriel Lorca. Prime Lorca, Mirror Lorca, some other type of AU Lorca, whatever, throw him in with a Michael Burnham and I'll be satisfied.
I'm especially interested in a post-s1 AU where Prime Lorca finds his way onboard Discovery (Pike optional, but it would be kind of fun to see a prickly, traumatized, guilt-ridden Prime Lorca, freshly saved from the hellish mirror universe, having to interact with Chris "the jewel of Starfleet" Pike who had to sit out the war). How is Prime Lorca received on Discovery? Is Michael reluctant to trust him or does she power through her discomfort/grief/etc. because it's "illogical" to blame Prime Lorca for Mirror Lorca's actions? Does Prime Lorca feel displaced back in the prime universe? etc etc etc, so on and so forth. I really just want to see how these two grieving, emotionally wounded people might be able to come together despite the havoc Lorca's mirror self wreaked on Discovery and Michael in particular.
I also like the idea of Prime Lorca being rescued or turning up on Discovery, either in the future or an AU where Disco didn't jump 900+ years in the future. Are things awkward? Do he and Michael bond or do they initially dislike/distrust each other? How different is Prime Lorca from Mirror Lorca, if he's different at all...? It seems like one of the reasons Mirror Lorca was able to fool so many people who knew his prime counterpart is that they might not have been that different in temperament; if prime Lorca makes his way to the Discovery and the crew discover he's not that different, personality-wise, how would having him on board affect them given that this is supposedly the "good" one?
I could also see Lorca being put off by the age gap but still wanting Michael... and being stubbornly unwilling to pursue her due to propriety (while she grows increasingly frustrated at his inability to make a move). Does Michael have expectations of Prime Lorca based on the Mirror version that he shatters or lives up to?
I'm also interested in the idea that Original Lorca has to continue to pretend to be Mirror Lorca for some reason, or has to go undercover as him or as another alternate universe Lorca and how that affects his reception on the Discovery.

As for Mirror Michael/Mirror Lorca, I love tales of palace intrigue. Do they conspire together to overthrow Georgiou? Is it a lovers to enemies kind of thing where Michael has to destroy the man she loves on her Emperor mother's behalf? Big fan of palace intrigue, spying/spycraft, power imbalances/differences (and those dynamics inverted), age gap/difference where the younger character wields the power in the relationship, and complicated relationships. Especially when they're made more complicated by philosophical differences or differences in morals or what have you. I'm not really interested in tales of Mirrorverse where everyone's just evil for evil's sake; I enjoy morally gray or complicated characters doing morally gray things for reasons they think are right.
Michael/Pike
I'd love anything set between them during Pike's season on Disco. Big fan of mutual admiration, competence kink, praise kink, basically just Pike being super in awe of Michael and not being abashed of showing how much he likes her.
Mirror Michael/Pike
Alternately, what if Mirror Michael found her way onto Discovery in s2 (maybe she's the Red Angel instead??) and she and Pike get together? I'm into the identity porn that comes along with Mirrorverse. Even better if Mirror Michael and Pike get together right in Prime Michael's face and it makes things awkward for everyone involved.

I'd love something where Ash follows Michael and Discovery into the future, and how the addition of Ash changes Disco from s3 onward. Or an AU where Discovery doesn't have to jump into the future (maybe an alternate solution is found) so Michael and Ash stay together.

I'm really into s6/Godstiel-era Destiel, so give me all the gothic romance/romantic horror (doesn't necessarily have to be set in that time period, I'm just really into the vibes)! I love canon-compliant/canon-adjacent fic, case fic, what if scenarios, (corrupted love/love that corrupts/etc., and all manner of gothic romance/romantic horror). I love the idea of one or both being obsessed with the other and how that complicates things for them and those in their orbit. Also, what if Ruby possessed the bodies of Sam's loved ones (Bobby? Cas? Jo? Dean?) to fuck with him/break him down and get him on her side? I'm actually super into the idea of Ruby playing mind games with him and manipulating him through Dean's body. (If you go with Dean I'd prefer they don't have sex while she's in Dean's body, but everything else is fair game.)
I like both versions of Ruby.

A few months after the events of the finale, Dean receives an unexpected visitor in Eileen, who needs help on a hunt. The two start hunting together and turn to each other in their grief. The more battle couple denial of feelings, "this is definitely just FWB but we're not even really friends oh no maybe I like them", "we're sublimating our feelings over our lost loved ones except maybe it's more than that now" angst the better. (Background/implied Dean/Cas and Eileen/Sam are more than welcome). I'll be very happy with loads of angst and misery.

I find Tim Rozon compelling, what can I say. I found the dynamic between Alana and the Magician to be fascinating; she seems menaced by him but also intrigued. And he seems to like her! (He gives her a flower, they drink together, and Alana comments that the villain in the second movie attacked him because "she wants what's [Alana's]"... but then they don't even kiss.) Once again, complicated relationships are my jam. I love when a relationship forms out of a shared experience, even a traumatic one. Do they try to cope with the Horrors together, after the movies? Did they find a moment during one of the movies to explore their connection?
Both movies are set during holidays. Halloween in the first one and New Year's during the second... What if the survivors are brought back together for Valentine's or the Ides or March or St. Patrick's Day on another train or a cruise ship or some other mode of transportation. lol.
I also like that the Magician seems to survive things he has no business surviving. His best skill seems to be just not dying.

What I Love:
I'm really, really into gothic romance/gothic horror/horror of any stripe. I also love ambiguous/happy for now/sad endings. I love things that are not necessarily tied up with a neat pretty bow. The sillier the better; I think Liz/Jack is well-suited to the silliness. I also love them being obsessed with each other and just absolutely not dealing with that, or handling it really badly.

I'm also super into the trope/idea of Syd trying to get over her feelings for Carmy by throwing herself at Richie and unexpectedly developing genuine feelings for him (I'm not really into Richie being second best/second choice but I love Richie thinking that he is and Syd having to convince him that she actually does like him and sees him as more than a subpar replacement for the person she really wants).
Also I feel like he'd have feelings about their age difference that Syd would be more blasé about. How would they deal with that?
What if Carmy finds out they've been sleeping together? Even though, for the purposes of this prompt, nothing's happening between Syd/Carmy Carmy would still have feelings about Syd/Richie. How would the three of them deal with that?

I enjoy a good "Hotch was always an UNSUB" or "Hotch becomes an UNSUB after leaving the BAU" AU, but I also like undercover as a couple/married and the various ways that trope can go wrong. Maybe Hotch is wanted by the FBI and, desperate to clear his name, abducts Garcia to help in that.

I love the idea that Elle becomes someone the BAU has to hunt, and how that affects Spencer and perhaps pushes him toward her in a way, or Elle dying of her gunshot wound and becoming a ghost who continues to haunt the BAU, specifically, Spencer. What if Spencer thinks she's a hallucination of his, when he believes he could be schizophrenic?

If you couldn't tell from my freeforms, I'm intrigued by the many possibilities for this pair either within the world of canon or in AU/what-if scenarios. I'm not really interested in redemption or redemption arcs; if anything, I think I'd prefer a corruption arc for Gabi than a redemption arc for Sir. I'm also interested in canon tweaks/what-ifs/etc., for example: like an AU where Gabi doesn't escape Sir or a canon tweak where Sir's motivations for kidnapping were more sinister than trying to cultivate and nurture a brilliant mind or rather than kidnapping Gabi as a high school student Sir kidnapped her when she was in college. Not to be a huge nerd but I'm really interested in seeing what shifting their relationship from non-sexual into sexual/romantic/etc would change, with the characters/in their lives/in canon and so on.

What if Mirror Lorca survived somehow, or is resurrected on Discovery? Especially curious to see what would happen if either Original Lorca or Mirror Lorca ended up on Discovery during Pike's tenure?
They have some Hades/Persephone vibes going on that I subconsciously latched onto while watching the show (and adore) so leaning into the gothic romance tropes with these two is always appreciated. Maybe she does actually intend to stay with him instead of trying to trick him. How does that go for her? How does that go for Mirror Lorca? Does staying with him change Michael (for better or worse), or does it change Mirror Lorca?
I also got the strong sense that Mirror Georgiou was manipulating Michael to get her onto her side/turn her against Mirror Lorca... So that's my baseline for Michael/Mirror Lorca. What if Michael eventually finds out Georgiou lied to her about Lorca/his relationship with Mirror Michael? Does that change things?
With Burnham and Mirror Lorca, specifically, I don't want a redemption story where he learns how to be a good person and/or how to better himself. I would actually love to see a story where perhaps he works some of Michael's/the Federation's sunnier, kinder, more optimistic worldview into his own while remaining true to "himself." I'd love to see him struggle with having his worldview changed the more he's around prime Michael, and how he copes with that. (Or doesn't.)
(Nuanced/complicated takes on Mirrorverse are like catnip to me also, fwiw.)
Michael/Prime Lorca
What if Original Flavor Lorca finds his way back to the Discovery (either in an AU where Discovery didn't jump 900 years into the future, or Lorca himself ends up in the future). How do the crew members (especially Burnham) deal with his presence, especially if he's similar in temperament to Mirror Lorca?
Seasons 1 and 2 are my personal favorites from Discovery so all my prompts will focus on that era of the show. (Also it's safe to assume I prefer to pretend Mirror Lorca didn't die or comes back/is resurrected in some way.)
So, I'm going through a Disco resurgence and I'm freshly obsessed with any and all combination of Michael Burnham and Gabriel Lorca. Prime Lorca, Mirror Lorca, some other type of AU Lorca, whatever, throw him in with a Michael Burnham and I'll be satisfied.
I'm especially interested in a post-s1 AU where Prime Lorca finds his way onboard Discovery (Pike optional, but it would be kind of fun to see a prickly, traumatized, guilt-ridden Prime Lorca, freshly saved from the hellish mirror universe, having to interact with Chris "the jewel of Starfleet" Pike who had to sit out the war). How is Prime Lorca received on Discovery? Is Michael reluctant to trust him or does she power through her discomfort/grief/etc. because it's "illogical" to blame Prime Lorca for Mirror Lorca's actions? Does Prime Lorca feel displaced back in the prime universe? etc etc etc, so on and so forth. I really just want to see how these two grieving, emotionally wounded people might be able to come together despite the havoc Lorca's mirror self wreaked on Discovery and Michael in particular.
I also like the idea of Prime Lorca being rescued or turning up on Discovery, either in the future or an AU where Disco didn't jump 900+ years in the future. Are things awkward? Do he and Michael bond or do they initially dislike/distrust each other? How different is Prime Lorca from Mirror Lorca, if he's different at all...? It seems like one of the reasons Mirror Lorca was able to fool so many people who knew his prime counterpart is that they might not have been that different in temperament; if prime Lorca makes his way to the Discovery and the crew discover he's not that different, personality-wise, how would having him on board affect them given that this is supposedly the "good" one?
I could also see Lorca being put off by the age gap but still wanting Michael... and being stubbornly unwilling to pursue her due to propriety (while she grows increasingly frustrated at his inability to make a move). Does Michael have expectations of Prime Lorca based on the Mirror version that he shatters or lives up to?
I'm also interested in the idea that Original Lorca has to continue to pretend to be Mirror Lorca for some reason, or has to go undercover as him or as another alternate universe Lorca and how that affects his reception on the Discovery.
Mirror Michael/Mirror Lorca
As for Mirror Michael/Mirror Lorca, I love tales of palace intrigue. Do they conspire together to overthrow Georgiou? Is it a lovers to enemies kind of thing where Michael has to destroy the man she loves on her Emperor mother's behalf? Big fan of palace intrigue, spying/spycraft, power imbalances/differences (and those dynamics inverted), age gap/difference where the younger character wields the power in the relationship, and complicated relationships. Especially when they're made more complicated by philosophical differences or differences in morals or what have you. I'm not really interested in tales of Mirrorverse where everyone's just evil for evil's sake; I enjoy morally gray or complicated characters doing morally gray things for reasons they think are right.
Michael/Pike
I'd love anything set between them during Pike's season on Disco. Big fan of mutual admiration, competence kink, praise kink, basically just Pike being super in awe of Michael and not being abashed of showing how much he likes her.
Mirror Michael/Pike
Alternately, what if Mirror Michael found her way onto Discovery in s2 (maybe she's the Red Angel instead??) and she and Pike get together? I'm into the identity porn that comes along with Mirrorverse. Even better if Mirror Michael and Pike get together right in Prime Michael's face and it makes things awkward for everyone involved.

I'd love something where Ash follows Michael and Discovery into the future, and how the addition of Ash changes Disco from s3 onward. Or an AU where Discovery doesn't have to jump into the future (maybe an alternate solution is found) so Michael and Ash stay together.

I do love a good found family story but I also really dig gothic romance/gothic horror, and the washed out, desaturated claustrophobia of S1-3. I also love some Winchester codependency and dysfunction; I really vibe with the idea of the brothers being dangerously, unhealthily codependent (not necessarily in a sexual way). I love messy, complicated relationships.
I have some more specific prompts for a few of my pairs.
Dean/Cas
I'm really into s6/Godstiel-era Destiel, so give me all the gothic romance/romantic horror (doesn't necessarily have to be set in that time period, I'm just really into the vibes)! I love canon-compliant/canon-adjacent fic, case fic, what if scenarios, (corrupted love/love that corrupts/etc., and all manner of gothic romance/romantic horror). I love the idea of one or both being obsessed with the other and how that complicates things for them and those in their orbit. I also like when they're on the outs with each other and/or their relationship is deteriorating and how that affects the cases they're working/how the cases they're working reflect the dysfunction in their relationship.
I'm also a big fan of 10x22 The Prisoner. What if Dean actually went through with killing Cas? How does he deal with the guilt and grief? And what if he was completely unaware Cas was resurrected...?
Take things as dark as you want.
Dean/Cas
◊ Star-Cross'd Lovers Keep Changing Fate Only to Come to Worse Ends Every Time.
◊ Castiel's death is actually him time-jumping into the past or future. Where does he end up? Does he find Dean in this new timeline?

What happens when the three of them are unexpectedly thrown back together on the brothers' hunt and are forced to confront the loss of Jack? (Bonus points if Jack is saved somehow!)

◊ AU. Cas told Dean he would be the one who'd have to "stand by and watch him destroy the world." Let's say that actually did end up happening. ◊ Lucifer refuses to leave, and Cas is instead forced to share his body with Lucifer. This complicates Dean's relationships with both.
Sam/Ruby
Let Ruby and Sam be as terrible to each other as you want. I really dig the idea of Ruby as Sam's pet sociopath, trying to win his favor either during her canon run, a post-canon world where she was resurrected, or in an AU where she never died. I also like the idea of Ruby (Katie Cassidy) starting Sam on demon blood in S3, and how/if that changes things.
Also, what if Ruby possessed the bodies of Sam's loved ones (Bobby? Cas? Jo? Dean?) to fuck with him/break him down and get him on her side? I'm actually super into the idea of Ruby playing mind games with him and manipulating him through Dean's body. (If you go with Dean I'd prefer they don't have sex while she's in Dean's body, but everything else is fair game.)
I like both versions of Ruby.
◊ AU. Ruby starts Sam on demon blood in s3. How does accelerating the timeline change things?

Cassie/Dean
I'd love missing scenes or post-canon AUs where Dean survives. I love haunted house stories, especially if the house is more than just a house. I'll also make an exception for kidfic for Cassie/Dean.
◊ What if Cassie was able to accept Dean's world and the truth about monsters and hunting? What if she went with Sam and Dean? Retell some memorable early SPN moments from Cassie's perspective, or show her with the brothers on a hunt.
◊ Post-canon AU. Dean survives, and runs into Cassie on a hunt. She's still a journalist but now she's working with Sam's fledgling hunters network. How does their reunion go?
◊ Post-canon AU. Dean runs into Cassie in heaven, but she adamantly maintains she's not dead. Is she mistaken, or is Dean not really in heaven?

What if Dean survived the finale instead of Sam (or he and Sam went their separate ways) and Dean and Eileen turned to each other to cope with their losses? What if Sam (and/or Cas) came back anyway...? Complicated post-canon relationships are my catnip.
◊ Post-canon AU. Instead of Dean, Sam is the one who dies (or if you don't want to kill him off, he can choose to walk away from the life) leaving behind a devastated Dean. A few months after the events of the finale, Dean receives an unexpected visitor in Eileen, who needs help on a hunt. The two start hunting together and turn to each other in their grief. The more battle couple denial of feelings, "this is definitely just FWB but we're not even really friends oh no maybe I like them", "we're sublimating our feelings over our lost loved ones except maybe it's more than that now" angst the better. (Background/implied Dean/Cas and Eileen/Sam are more than welcome). I'll be very happy with loads of angst and misery.
◊ AU. Dean and Eileen go hunting together and one of them becomes injured and can't walk without help/being carried to safety. Looking for trauma bonding, angst, and hurt/comfort.
◊ Post-canon AU. Eileen is transformed into a monster and Dean is the one who has to "take care" of her (however you want that to mean). (Is Sam still around? What does he think about this? Does he try to stop Dean?)
Rowena MacLeod/Sam Winchester
Rowena helps Sam hone his latent powers, training him to become a witch. Maybe they go undercover together as a couple, or wake up married. Ideas/prompts:
I find Tim Rozon compelling, what can I say. I found the dynamic between Alana and the Magician to be fascinating; she seems menaced by him but also intrigued. And he seems to like her! (He gives her a flower, they drink together, and Alana comments that the villain in the second movie attacked him because "she wants what's [Alana's]"... but then they don't even kiss.) Once again, complicated relationships are my jam. I love when a relationship forms out of a shared experience, even a traumatic one. Do they try to cope with the Horrors together, after the movies? Did they find a moment during one of the movies to explore their connection?
Both movies are set during holidays. Halloween in the first one and New Year's during the second... What if the survivors are brought back together for Valentine's or the Ides or March or St. Patrick's Day on another train or a cruise ship or some other mode of transportation. lol.
I also like that the Magician seems to survive things he has no business surviving. His best skill seems to be just not dying.
