If none of my ideas/prompts catch your attention, I'm totally fine with mixing and matching some of my tropes/likes/freeforms/etc. to come up with a story! I also may not have prompts for every pairing/fandom, but that doesn't mean I'm less invested or interested in those pairings/fandoms! Sometimes I just can't think of anything specific or feel like the pairing/fandom (particularly for original works) is a prompt in and of itself. What I Love: I'm currently really into gothic romance/gothic horror/horror of any stripe really. I adore difficult/complicated relationships, and questions with no easy answers. I also love ambiguous/happy for now/sad endings. I love things that make me think, and are not necessarily tied up with a neat pretty bow. But that's not to say I don't enjoy a happy ending! This is mostly just meant to reassure you that if you don't think a HEA is workable I'm totally fine with that.

Of course since this is a dark fic exchange, it's safe to assume I do expect dark fic so you're free to disregard the note about HEA's that I ported over from a different exchange letter (or you can try to spin an HEA out of a dark fic if you feel up for a challenge).

     ◊ Several members of the BAU are abducted and they're forced to participate in a twisted version of the "trolley problem": the group's leader must pick a member of the team to be 'sacrificed' to the unsub to be tortured, or they'll all be killed. Cue a lot of arguments amongst the abductees over who will be sacrificed. I would love if this focused more on the group dynamics (and splintering of the group as they can't agree on who should be given up, and the shattering of the group/friendships being the unsub's real objective). Bonus points if they're rescued before any torture actually happens, but they're still unable to look each other in the eye for a long time afterward.

Elle Greenaway/Spencer Reid / Elle Greenaway & Spencer Reid
     ◊ AU. After her shooting, Elle struggles before turning to Spencer for help.
     ◊ AU. Elle is around when Spencer becomes addicted to painkillers. How do their respective experiences (and traumas) deepen their relationship?
     ◊ AU. Elle is dead and her ghost blames Spencer.
     ◊ AU. Spencer comes back to his apartment one night to find Elle waiting for him. But all is not as it seems.
     ◊ AU. Spencer makes a different choice and reaches out to Elle when he notices her drinking. But things don't work out how he'd hoped.
     ◊ After she leaves the BAU, Elle spirals down a dark path. Spencer is the one who finds her and tries to help her, but Elle resists. No one helped her before when she needed it the most; why should she trust Spencer now?

Luke Alvez/Penelope Garcia
     ◊ Someone starts stalking Garcia and she leans on Luke for support. The stalker can be someone from her past or an OC.
     ◊ AU. Penelope is kidnapped and both Luke and Penelope are forced to confront their previously unacknowledged feelings for one another.
     ◊ AU. The bad guys make them do it (for blackmail material or just because they're bad guys). They're rescued by the team, but things are tense and awkward. Do they work through it, or is their relationship broken beyond repair?
     ◊ AU, missing scene, or post-series. Luke gets drugged by an unsub and Penelope has to care for him. Things get...dicey.
     ◊ AU where Luke or Penelope is the unsub and one captures the other.

Aaron Hotchner/Penelope Garcia
     ◊ AU. Penelope and Hotch get stranded together somewhere. Abandoned building, a cave, a spaceship that's run out of fuel, not picky. Survival horror + trauma bonding?
     ◊ AU. After Haley dies, Penelope takes it upon herself to take care of Hotch and Jack. But maybe she goes a liiiittle overboard.
     ◊ AU. Penelope joins Hotch on a case when she gets targeted by the unsub. Hotch tries his best to keep his team safe, but the guy they're chasing just seems to be one step ahead of them...
     ◊ AU. Hotch is an UNSUB the BAU has captured and Penelope has to work with him for a different case. She knows she shouldn't be this drawn to him but...
     ◊ AU. Penelope buys some Halloween decorations to put up in the BAU headquarters and inadvertently opens a portal to hell right in Hotch's office. Whoops.

Does she become better about suppressing certain memories? Was she ever distrustful of Coop? He was obviously manipulating her for some time; did Quincy ever see signs about Coop she just chose to ignore?
     ◊ I was never totally convinced Quincy had romantic feelings toward Coop, though he was clearly obsessed with her from the start. How does that sort of imbalance play out over the course of their relationship?

     ◊ Post-book. Quincy coaches Haley on how to be the perfect Final Girl.
     ◊ Post-book. Five times Quincy passed knowledge onto Haley and one time Haley passed knowledge onto Quincy.

     ◊ Post-book. Quincy and Jonah start a friendship/relationship. Does becoming close to a journalist provide problems for Quincy, who's used to being so secretive?

Tina
     ◊ Tina's a complicated, somewhat tragic character. A deeper exploration of her motivations (or an AU take) behind assuming the identity of a "final girl" would be amazing.
     ◊ What does Tina really think of Quincy, over the course of the book? Scenes from the book from Tina's POV would be great.
     ◊ What is life like for Tina after the events of the book? She takes the rap for the assault Quincy committed as a sort of penance, but is she able to find peace? Does she get out of prison on good behavior? Does she escape?
     ◊ What does Tina think of Coop? Why does she try to seduce him? Did she ever suspect him?

     ◊ Post-TCW finale. I've been curious about the "running away again" line in Rebels and how that could have happened without breaking canon. Maybe they get captured by Imperials (or other bad guys) and Ahsoka ends up betraying Maul somehow.

     ◊ AU. Cas told Dean he would be the one who'd have to "stand by and watch him destroy the world." Let's say that actually did end up happening. Gimme MOC!Dean and consort!Cas, or MOC!Dean and Cas as the only one who can stop him. I'd just like some dark romance + star-cross'd lovers for this prompt.

     ◊ Similar to the above, but when Dean was a demon rather than bearing the mark of Cain.

Endverse!Dean/Endverse!Cas
     ◊ What happened between endverse!Destiel to evolve their relationship to the way it is in 5x04?
     ◊ Endverse!Cas and Endverse!Dean definitely participate in orgies and threesomes together, right?
     ◊ I'd love some moments of tenderness between them, when they're not off fighting an unwinnable war (that they both know is unwinnable). (A little clarification: I know this is a dark fic exchange, and the fic can be as dark as you'd like to make it but I would like some tender moments interspersed with the darkness.)

Dean/Endverse!Cas
     ◊ Dean's intrigued by the prospect of a fallen, human Cas while Endverse!Cas sees reminders of the man he fell for in Dean, which leads to an ill-advised (probably intoxicated) hookup.

     ◊ Post-canon AU. Sam and Eileen retire from the hunting life to marry and start a family, but ghosts from their pasts follow them to their new home.

Dean/Eileen
     ◊ Post-canon AU. Instead of Dean, Sam is the one who dies (or if you don't want to kill him off, he can choose to walk away from the life) leaving behind a devastated Dean. A few months after the events of the finale, Dean receives an unexpected visitor in Eileen, who needs help on a hunt. The two start hunting together and turn to each other in their grief. The more battle couple denial of feelings, "this is definitely just FWB but we're not even really friends oh no maybe I like them", "we're sublimating our feelings over our lost loved ones except maybe it's more than that now" angst the better. (Background/implied Dean/Cas and Eileen/Sam are more than welcome). I'll be very happy with loads of angst and misery.
     ◊ AU. Dean and Eileen go hunting together and one of them becomes injured and can't walk without help/being carried to safety. Looking for trauma bonding, angst, and hurt/comfort.
     ◊ Post-canon AU. Eileen is transformed into a monster and Dean is the one who has to "take care" of her (however you want that to mean). (Is Sam still around? What does he think about this? Does he try to stop Dean?)

Dean/Anael
     ◊ AU. Dean turns to Anael for help on a hunt, which she gladly offers. But there's a catch. Of course there's a catch, there always is with Anael.

Dean/Cas/Anael

Or what if Connie does die? Does she become a ghost that haunts Arnold? Does she eventually get her revenge? What if she kills Arnold and they both become ghosts, tied to one another for eternity?

Is Arnold the devil? Give me an AU twist where Arnold and Connie strike a Faustian deal... Or perhaps it's Connie who's the one to tempt Arnold into giving over his soul.

What about something between Connie and her mother, or Connie and June, or the three of them?

What about something steeped in 1960s-era nostalgia? Or an exploitation horror take on it like something in the vein of The Last House on the Left?

Honestly, I'll love whatever you come up with for this fandom!
