Dear Creator,

Hello! I'm glad we'll be working together and I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

I'm going to copy and paste some stuff from other "dear author" letters of mine:

What I Love: I love ambiguous/happy for now/sad endings (though I am not opposed to happy endings in the slightest). I love things that make me think, and are not necessarily tied up with a neat pretty bow.

I love characters dealing with mortality (of their careers or their lives). I also dig found family/families of choice, pining, minor miscommunication, undercover as married, mistaken for dating, pretend dating, enemies to lovers, enemies to friends to lovers, friends to lovers, poly/poly-v relationships, popular clichéd tropes inverted (i.e. gay for you, married in Vegas, A/B/O, soulmates/soulmate marks, etc), meet-cutes/meet-uglies, and epistolary/use of social media pastiche (use of fake texts, tweets, facebook posts, emails, and more. This is a good example of what I mean here. So is this, this, this, this, and this).

Pitch

References to background Mike/Ginny, Livan/Ginny, Omar/Ginny, and threesomes/moresomes/etc. are cool!

I'd really love Ginny to be present in some way, seeing as she's my favorite character. I'll even take fic from her POV.

Livan Duarte/Mike Lawson — As stated, I really love stories that deal with mortality (of life and career)/aging/competence/professional jealousy/etc., and I think Livan and Mike are perfect for that. Maybe set it in the future and show me what happens when Mike finally retires and how it affects his and Livan's relationship.

Or give me the story where Livan comes out (or is outed) as bi. Are he and Mike already in a relationship? Does a relationship develop later?

You also can't go wrong with a space opera AU!

Mike Lawson/Omar Robles — After Ginny gets serious with Noah Casey, Mike and Omar get together to commiserate over their unrequited crushes on her and one thing leads to another... (The creator said that they had the idea that a gay player would come out and Ginny would be his ally. What if it's Omar?)

Oscar Arguella/Mike Lawson — Give me the tale of Mike and Oscar's minor league era hookup. How do they deal when Oscar has to retire and then gets hired to be the general manager? I'd love to see them dealing with the problems that would come with that relationship (it would probably be looked at as unethical if they were together when Oscar was a team employee and Mike was a player). Do they struggle? If so, do they manage to keep their relationship going?

Star Wars Original Trilogy

Lando Calrissian/Han Solo (SW Original Trilogy) — Empire-AU. Lando visits Han to reminisce, during Han and Leia's first night at Cloud City. Reminiscence leads to an airing of grievances and old wounds are reopened. Han and Lando have one night together, before Han goes back to Leia, and the rest of the events of Empire unfold. Gimme all the angst, regret, and tender achey feelings one has toward their big lost love. (I love Leia and Han/Leia so implied Han/Leia is fine. Infidelity or open relationship or pre-poly is also fine.)

OR: total AU where Lando is the one who rescues Han from Jabba's palace and there's action/adventure and romance.

OR: maybe something between Solo and A New Hope where Han and Lando catch up with each other again after a long time apart (ignoring canon I guess) and they have a stolen night together.

Lando Calrissian/Luke Skywalker (SW Original Trilogy) — Lando and Luke find some downtime during the OT or post-movies to start a relationship. Maybe Luke has feelings for Han that he projects onto Lando, but they come to develop a loving relationship of their own, or something.

Princess Bride (1987)

Inigo Montoya/Westley — I'd love the characters/plot transposed to a new setting, like outer space or an historical setting such as the wild west. A continuation of plot threads/characterization/etc. laid out in the movie is fine too. Or maybe Inigo and Westley break the fourth wall and end up in the real world somehow. How do they cope?

21 Jump Street —

Greg Jenko/Morton Schmidt — Maybe a continuation of the first movie (which is the only one I've seen so far), and the development of their partnership. Totally fine with references to Brie Larson's character, Molly, and past Schmidt/Molly but would prefer them to be over by the time this fic takes place. Epistolary (see example above) would be cool too!

Askewniverse

Randall Graves/Dante Hicks — Give me future!fic for this pairing! Give me single dad Dante and Randall who are still friends. Have they finally moved on since the last time we saw them or are they still boring, soul-sucking jobs?

OR: a superhero AU! Maybe Randall and Dante as rival superheroes who fall in love. Or one is a superhero and the other is a supervillain.

Banky Edwards/Holden McNeil — Something post-movie Banky and Holden try to work out a relationship after the threesome leads to Holden and Alyssa's breakup. They don't always get it right, Holden feels guilty about how things with Alyssa ended, and Banky still has internalized homophobia to work through.

I'm a big alt '90s music scene fan so callbacks and references to that period in time and the music that was popular then would be awesome.

Original Work

Inept Incubus/Human Target — I found the idea of an inept incubus really funny. I'll be happy with whatever you come up with for this one, author!

Olympic Figure Skater/NHL Player — Plot idea: a hockey player joins one of those celebrity skating with the stars and falls for his partner. Or a hockey player joins celebrity dancing with the stars and falls with the rival figure skater. Close/forced proximity, foe-yay, rivals to lovers, etc. it's all good.

Star Athlete/Journeyman Athlete — If you focus on baseball players I'll give you my hypothetical firstborn child. A young star baseball player (think a Mike Trout type) and his older journeyman teammate fall in love over the course of a season. Bring in the professional jealousy aspect mortality of lives/careers, maybe even power imbalance with the younger star being higher up on the team hierarchy than the older journeyman, and show me how they work out their relationship (or fail to do so, HEA not required).

Veteran Athlete/Rookie Athlete — Preference for baseball here as well. A veteran takes a rookie under his wing and shows him the ropes. If you go the baseball route, is there a culture clash (if one or both are from other countries)?

Man that writes het romance titles under a female pen name/Injured Pro athelete — Injured Pro Athlete (always a preference for baseball, but hockey or pro football is fine here too) is handed a stack of his mom or sister's romance novels while he's recuperating from his season ending injury and starts reading them. IPA gets really into them and decides to look up the author, but it appears she's a recluse. Since he has a lot of time on his hands, IPA decides to look her up and finds out, much to his surprise, the female author is actually a pen name for a guy he went to high school with. Would love to see former high school classmates (ex-bully and nerd? Jock and artistic/creative kid? I like opposites attracting basically) reconnecting and falling for each other. Something small-town and cozy and cute would be nice here!

Spy/Ghost of Enemy Spy — Spy 1 killed Spy 2 in a climactic battle (or led to Spy 2's demise). Spy 2 has unfinished business and comes back to haunt him... but finds himself falling in love. Something relatively funny and lighthearted would be a plus!

Undercover Cop in A Sex Club/Dom — Basically what it says on the tin. Cop has to go undercover in a sex club and ends up falling into an arrangement with a Dom. Soon it's more than an arrangement; feelings are getting involved. Will the Undercover Cop give in to them? How will the Dom react when he finds out the client he's fallen for has been lying to him?
