past_imperfect! Time travel is one of my favorite tropes and I'm thrilled there's a challenge exclusively for it!
I'm going to copy and paste some stuff from older letters, such as likes and DNWs. (Also, feel free to peruse other letters here.)
What I Love: I love ambiguous/happy for now/sad endings (though I am not opposed to happy endings in the slightest). I love things that make me think, and are not necessarily tied up with a neat pretty bow.
I love gothic horror/gothic romance/dark romance/horror/noir/etc. Space gothic, urban gothic, suburban gothic, I'm into all of it. Dark and romantic, even tragic and horrifying? Sign me up!
I also love characters dealing with mortality (of their careers or their lives), found family/families of choice, pining, minor miscommunication, undercover as married, mistaken for dating, pretend dating, enemies to lovers, enemies to friends to lovers, friends to lovers, poly/poly-v relationships, and epistolary/use of social media pastiche (use of fake texts, tweets, facebook posts, emails, and more. Group: Anakin Skywalker | Darth Vader/Ahsoka Tano / group: Anakin Skywalker | Darth Vader & Ahsoka Tano — I definitely prefer Rebels-era Ahsoka and Anakin/Vader, as far as ages. You can handwave or mess with ages if you'd like. Anakin doesn't have to be Vader, he could be suitless and/or still Sith, or just Anakin. I just prefer Rebels-era for romantic pairings between them.
Any of my time travel tropes with Ahsoka and Anakin/Vader would be amaaaazing.
I keep prompting this one particular AU involving Ahsoka and Anakin, and I won't stop now:
Time travel AU where some jerk messes up the main timeline and an adult Ahsoka ends up zapped back in the past, dealing with a Clone Wars-era Anakin and a younger version of herself. Ahsoka would very much like to return to *her* timeline but that proves difficult, and awkward things happen between (adult) her and Anakin.
I'd very much like if it's super awkward and uncomfortable, because Ahsoka has the foresight of like being zapped from the future and knows what's going to happen to Anakin. Bonus points if she tries to meddle to keep Anakin from falling and has to time travel *back* again to fix her messes. Extra bonus points if adult Ahsoka ends up as sort of a big sister figure to little Ahsoka (and maybe gives her advice like "if you see the opportunity to time travel do not take that opportunity under any circumstances").
If that doesn't work for you, any combination of freeform tags with Anakin/Vader and Ahsoka is a-okay! The more tragic the better! This pair just really lends themselves to tragedy, like all Anakin pairings I suppose.
Other general ideas:
• something tying the Mortis arc in with time travel. Maybe instead of saving Ahsoka's life the way they did in canon, Anakin time travels and makes a big mess he has to fix (or makes no big messes at all, he just has to figure out how to keep Ahsoka from dying. Is he successful? Up to you, author!)
• Maybe something set post-ROTJ, with an older Ahsoka being visited by a younger version of Anakin, pre-fall?
• Ahsoka time travels to derail Anakin's descent into evil. Does it work? Does she make it worse?
• Platonic takes on the above prompts/tropes are also welcome!
