What I Love:
I'm really, really into gothic romance/gothic horror/horror of any stripe. I also love ambiguous/happy for now/sad endings. I love things that are not necessarily tied up with a neat pretty bow. That's not to say I don't enjoy a happy ending, though! This is mostly just to reassure you, the author, that if a happy ending doesn't seem to fit the story, or isn't coming, don't stress about it. I love endings that fit the story being told, regardless of whether or not they're happy. These two have some very delicious communication, trust, and commitment issues so I'd adore anything that forces them into close proximity and makes them sit with the problems that ended their relationship in canon. I like when they hate each other; I also like when they reluctantly, grudgingly grow to like and respect each other. I'm also super into the trope/idea of Syd trying to get over her feelings for Carmy by throwing herself at Richie and unexpectedly developing genuine feelings for him (I'm not really into Richie being second best/second choice but I love Richie thinking that he is and Syd having to convince him that she actually does like him and sees him as more than a subpar replacement for the person she really wants).
I love the idea of Syd getting a minor injury on the job and Richie taking care of her, especially if there's pining and miscommunication involved (even better if the pining is mutual but one or both think it's unrequited/one-sided). I'm much more interested in emotional hurt for Richie, like Richie thinking Syd wants Carmy and is just settling for him but he'll take whatever affection he can get from her, or Richie being emotionally wounded and Syd comforting him and that leading to a deeper relationship between them.

I'm intrigued by the many possibilities for this pair either within the world of canon or in AU/what-if scenarios. I'm not really interested in redemption or redemption arcs; if anything, I think I'd prefer a corruption arc for Gabi than a redemption arc for Sir. I'm also interested in canon tweaks/what-ifs/etc., for example: like an AU where Gabi doesn't escape Sir or a canon tweak where Sir's motivations for kidnapping were more sinister than trying to cultivate and nurture a brilliant mind or rather than kidnapping Gabi as a high school student Sir kidnapped her when she was in college. Not to be a huge nerd but I'm really interested in seeing what shifting their relationship from non-sexual into sexual/romantic/etc would change, with the characters/in their lives/in canon and so on.
I love the idea of enemies having to find common ground and care for each other in order to reach a mutual goal; I especially love when the comfort and care is reluctant. Even better if the comfort/care starts off reluctant and/or coerced but becomes willing as their situation changes them/changes how they view each other. I also like enemies having to come together in order to take down a bigger badder enemy. I'm also into the idea of Gabi "sacrificing" herself/her freedom/etc to protect her friends.

They have some Hades/Persephone vibes going on that I subconsciously latched onto while watching the show (and adore) so leaning into the gothic romance tropes with these two is always appreciated. Maybe she does actually intend to stay with him instead of trying to trick him. Does staying with him change Michael (for better or worse), or does it change Mirror Lorca?
I also love the idea of enemies/former enemies being forced to work together against a greater enemy or evil. I could see Michael rationalizing having to team up with Lorca.
I'm also into AUs where Michael stays in the mirrorverse, or AUs where mirror Lorca stays in the prime universe either in his disguise as prime Lorca or fully as himself.
I don't want a redemption story where he learns how to be a good person and/or how to better himself. I would actually love to see a story where perhaps he works some of Michael's/the Federation's sunnier, kinder, more optimistic worldview into his own while remaining true to "himself." I'd love to see him struggle with having his worldview changed the more he's around prime Michael, and how he copes with that. (Or doesn't.)
(Nuanced/complicated takes on Mirrorverse are like catnip to me, fwiw.)

I love when the blorbos get put into situations. I also love when they're forced to make difficult, painful decisions for survival. Especially interested in the aftermath of those difficult decisions- is the relationship changed and if so, is it for the better or does the relationship deteriorate?
I love when Michael gets to be competent and Pike is super into it. These two also have a lot of respect and mutual admiration for each other that I think could translate nicely into a romantic or sexual relationship too. Praise kink? Competence kink? where Pike is doing the praising and admiring? Very into that, as a concept!
Additional Notes:
I'd prefer either Pike went with Michael into the future at the end of s2 or the Discovery never time traveled. Also, feel free to ignore anything from s3 and onward.

I never would have thought of this pairing if the show hadn't had them get closer and eventually move in together, but here we are!
Of course I love the blorbos going through the Situation and coming out bonded closer because of it. I also like super competent women impressing the hell out of their guy- and Ormewood is drawn to super competent women like canonically. Ormewood getting to witness Faith doing impressive shit to save them both, up close and personal? He might drop to a knee right then and there and propose.
I'm a sucker for any sort of tropey situation, like undercover-as-a-couple, fake/pretend married (for a case?), secret relationship, mutual pining, mutually unrequited feelings, didn't realize they were dating, mistaken for married, hurt/comfort (that leads to more), reluctant attraction, unexpected feelings, second chance romance (either a second chance with each other or characters rebounding from breakups to a second chance at love with someone else), etc. I also love people who have had disappointments in relationships or life in general finding some common ground (like a kidnapping situation? an injury? heartbreak?) and making something out of it.
I don't mind slightly unhealthy dynamics, like trauma bonding or codependency. I am not looking for stories that focus heavily on unhealthy dynamics though.

What I Love:
I'm really, really into gothic romance/gothic horror/horror of any stripe. I also love ambiguous/happy for now/sad endings. I love things that are not necessarily tied up with a neat pretty bow. I love the idea of Syd getting a minor injury on the job and Richie taking care of her, especially if there's pining and miscommunication involved (even better if the pining is mutual but one or both think it's unrequited/one-sided). I'm much more interested in emotional hurt for Richie, like Richie thinking Syd wants Carmy and is just settling for him but he'll take whatever affection he can get from her, or Richie being emotionally wounded and Syd comforting him and that leading to a deeper relationship between them.

I'm intrigued by the many possibilities for this pair either within the world of canon or in AU/what-if scenarios. I'm not really interested in redemption or redemption arcs; if anything, I think I'd prefer a corruption arc for Gabi than a redemption arc for Sir. I'm also interested in canon tweaks/what-ifs/etc., for example: like an AU where Gabi doesn't escape Sir or a canon tweak where Sir's motivations for kidnapping were more sinister than trying to cultivate and nurture a brilliant mind or rather than kidnapping Gabi as a high school student Sir kidnapped her when she was in college. Not to be a huge nerd but I'm really interested in seeing what shifting their relationship from non-sexual into sexual/romantic/etc would change, with the characters/in their lives/in canon and so on.
I love the idea of enemies having to find common ground and care for each other in order to reach a mutual goal; I especially love when the comfort and care is reluctant. Even better if the comfort/care starts off reluctant and/or coerced but becomes willing as their situation changes them/changes how they view each other. I also like enemies having to come together in order to take down a bigger badder enemy. I'm also into the idea of Gabi "sacrificing" herself/her freedom/etc to protect her friends.

They have some Hades/Persephone vibes going on that I subconsciously latched onto while watching the show (and adore) so leaning into the gothic romance tropes with these two is always appreciated. Maybe she does actually intend to stay with him instead of trying to trick him. Does staying with him change Michael (for better or worse), or does it change Mirror Lorca?
I also love the idea of enemies/former enemies being forced to work together against a greater enemy or evil. I could see Michael rationalizing having to team up with Lorca.
I'm also into AUs where Michael stays in the mirrorverse, or AUs where mirror Lorca stays in the prime universe either in his disguise as prime Lorca or fully as himself.
I don't want a redemption story where he learns how to be a good person and/or how to better himself. I would actually love to see a story where perhaps he works some of Michael's/the Federation's sunnier, kinder, more optimistic worldview into his own while remaining true to "himself." I'd love to see him struggle with having his worldview changed the more he's around prime Michael, and how he copes with that. (Or doesn't.)
(Nuanced/complicated takes on Mirrorverse are like catnip to me, fwiw.)

I love when the blorbos get put into situations. I also love when they're forced to make difficult, painful decisions for survival. Especially interested in the aftermath of those difficult decisions- is the relationship changed and if so, is it for the better or does the relationship deteriorate?
I love when Michael gets to be competent and Pike is super into it. These two also have a lot of respect and mutual admiration for each other that I think could translate nicely into a romantic or sexual relationship too. Praise kink? I never would have thought of this pairing if the show hadn't had them get closer and eventually move in together, but here we are!
Of course I love the blorbos going through the Situation and coming out bonded closer because of it. I also like super competent women impressing the hell out of their guy- and Ormewood is drawn to super competent women like canonically. Ormewood getting to witness Faith doing impressive shit to save them both, up close and personal? He might drop to a knee right then and there and propose.
I'm a sucker for any sort of tropey situation, like undercover-as-a-couple, fake/pretend married (for a case?), secret relationship, mutual pining, mutually unrequited feelings, didn't realize they were dating, mistaken for married, hurt/comfort (that leads to more), reluctant attraction, unexpected feelings, second chance romance (either a second chance with each other or characters rebounding from breakups to a second chance at love with someone else), etc. I also love people who have had disappointments in relationships or life in general finding some common ground (like a kidnapping situation? an injury? heartbreak?) and making something out of it.
I don't mind slightly unhealthy dynamics, like trauma bonding or codependency. I am not looking for stories that focus heavily on unhealthy dynamics though.

I'm really interested in how shared trauma affects the chosen pairs and potentially changes their relationships- either by deepening them or by severing their bonds. As usual I'm into super competent women and the men who admire and respect them; I'm also into mixing and matching the established pairs on the show and seeing Faith working with Angie, Faith with Ormewood, and Will with Ormewood. I'd really love to see how the new partnerships bring new things out of both characters too!
If all else fails, just put the blorbos into a Situation and get them out of it more or less intact, and I'll be happy.
