outruntheavalanche and I'm super excited we matched up for this challenge! I'm sure I'll be thrilled with whatever you decide to write. I hope something here pings your interest!
I like gen, het, slash, femslash, poly-ships (poly-v too), etc. You're welcome to interpret my character noms as any, rather than all, though you're free to include all of them in a fic if you want! I'm also okay with not including all of the nominated characters. If you want to include non-nominated characters, I'm absolutely okay with that too!
I have used parts of previous letters to compose the body of this letter. If anything is confusing, or you have any questions or need clarification, you can reach me through the mods!
What I Love:
I'm really, really into gothic romance/gothic horror/horror of any stripe. I also love ambiguous/happy for now/sad endings. I love things that are not necessarily tied up with a neat pretty bow. That's not to say I don't enjoy a happy ending, though! This is mostly just to reassure you, the author, that if a happy ending doesn't seem to fit the story, or isn't coming, don't stress about it. I love endings that fit the story being told, regardless of whether or not they're happy.

Holiday themed fics are totally awesome (and some of my prompts may involve holiday themes) but you don't have to write one centered around the holidays if you don't want to! I celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah.

While I do like the idea of a sexy historical, I really, really like the idea of a sexy thriller (the darker the better). Erotic thrillers, especially ones that explore the eroticism of danger/the violence of love are favs of mine.
Are these two rival spies? Is he superhero out to capture the supervillainess, or a detective looking for the female killer who's eluded him for years? Maybe she's the detective and he's the criminal, or perhaps they're rival step-siblings fighting each other for an inheritance? Whatever the case, as long as it's sexy, thrilling, and at least a little dark, I'm sure I'll love it!

Spirit - Georges Roux Painting
This was a last minute addition (I waffled over including this fandom vs. another one) but I couldn't pass up the intrigue or beauty of the painting.
The description on the narrative painting website says: A man working at his desk late in the evening is suddenly interrupted by a ghost playing the piano. He stands up, stunned at the sight of this beautiful spectral vision. Does he recognize this woman? Was she his lover, taken too soon from this earth? Perhaps she is playing ‘their song.’ Or is this all in his imagination?
Who is the Spirit and why is she haunting the Man? Are they lovers? Siblings? Maybe they didn't know each other during the Spirit's lifetime; maybe she came with the Man's new house. Or maybe she's confused him for someone else, someone who actually deserves a good haunting. What if she's a murder victim and she's haunting her killer?
What about the music she's playing? Was she a talented pianist? Is she doomed to repeat the same piece of music over and over? Something tying the Spirit and the piece of music she's playing would be lovely; we've all heard a haunting piece of music that lingers on in our memories. Maybe the haunting here is more literal than metaphorical.
Or, take it to a more humorous place! Perhaps the Spirit died during a piano lesson, or maybe she's not a very good pianist and her teacher, the Man, doesn't have the heart to tell her.

Taxi Driver is one of my all-time favorite movies, and I love the unconventional relationship that forms between Travis and Iris; it's sort of a friendship, but sort of not. Travis sees himself as Iris's protector, but what does Iris think of that?

Is Arnold the devil? Give me an AU twist where Arnold and Connie strike a Faustian deal... Or perhaps it's Connie who's the one to tempt Arnold into giving over his soul.
What about something steeped in 1960s-era nostalgia? Or an exploitation horror take on it like something in the vein of The Last House on the Left?
