Dear Creator,

Hi! I'm really looking forward to this challenge and seeing what you come up with! (I'll probably be copying and pasting some stuff from previous letters here. You can find past letters here and here if you're interested.)

Please don't be intimidated by the size of the letter! I'm using some prompts from older letters as well. The prompts and ideas are only suggestions! I'm totally fine with mixing and matching tropes/likes/kinks/etc. to come up with a story too!

What I Love: I'm currently really into gothic romance/gothic horror/horror of any stripe really. I also love ambiguous/happy for now/sad endings (though I am not opposed to happy endings in the slightest). I love things that make me think, and are not necessarily tied up with a neat pretty bow.

I love characters dealing with mortality (of their careers or their lives). I also dig found family/families of choice, pining, minor miscommunication, undercover as married, mistaken for dating, pretend dating, enemies to lovers, enemies to friends to lovers, friends to lovers, poly/poly-v relationships, popular clichéd tropes inverted (i.e. gay for you, married in Vegas, A/B/O, soulmates/soulmate marks, etc), meet-cutes/meet-uglies, and epistolary/use of social media pastiche (use of fake texts, tweets, facebook posts, emails, and more. This is a good example of what I mean here.)

I love both of these pairings for how fucked up they are and how they can be used to explore the themes of the movie. (You're also welcome to draw in book characters/influences and side characters too!)

Amy Elliott Dunne/Nick Dunne
     ◊ After the events of the movie, Amy and Nick cash in on the notoriety of the "kidnapping", with Amy becoming a motivational speaker and children's book author. With Amy being the sole breadwinner while Nick is now a stay-at-home dad, old resentments begin rearing their ugly heads...but now a baby is involved. Do Amy and Nick once again spiral into obsession, desire, and revenge? Or do their better natures (if they even have any) win out?
     ◊ A few years after the events of the movie, Amy's murder of Desi Collings unexpectedly comes to light. Would love a social media/epistolary take on this. Amy isn't going to go down without a fight, so does she try to take Nick down with her too? Or does Nick finally try to use the opportunity to get out of the marriage? I'd adore another cat-and-mouse chase between Amy and Nick. No preferences as to who is the "winner" at the end.
     ◊ Amy channels her murderous impulses into a baking/mommy vlog, and drags Nick into it—to disastrous results.
     ◊ After the events of the movie, Amy becomes a minor celebrity. And Nick becomes convinced she's taken a lover/lovers. Nick soon starts unraveling, and Amy decides to take drastic measures to protect herself.
     ◊ Post-movie. What about Amy's thoughts on their relationship and future after the movie. What does Amy expect to happen when she gives birth? Does she have other ways of keeping Nick in line? What happens when things don't go according to her plans?
     ◊ Post-movie. A few years down the line, Amy decides she's tired of Nick and their child. She can't divorce Nick because, as sole breadwinner, she would have to give him child support. So she starts plotting his murder. Does she succeed? Or is she foiled? (I'd really love something noirish, with a little dark humor.)
     ◊ Amy and Nick celebrate their first Christmas as parents.
     ◊ Pre-movie. 5 moments Amy and Nick were wrong for each other and one moment they were just perfect. (Would love something that hints at the darkness within each.)
     ◊ Post-movie. Amy and Nick's child disappears and Nick immediately suspects Amy is behind it. But Amy insists she had nothing to do with it. Is she telling the truth? I'd actually love if Amy was orchestrating things behind the scenes but I'm not too picky about it. She doesn't have to be involved. Nick just has to think she is. If Amy isn't involved, who is behind it? Someone who knows the truth about Amy? Or is it someone else? (Nick and Amy's kid can be endangered but I'd prefer no real harm actually come to them.)
     ◊ Pre-movie. How Amy and Nick's wedding night really went.

Margo Dunne/Nick Dunne
     ◊ What happens to Nick and Go after the movie ends?
     ◊ Post-movie. Go has a strained relationship with Nick and Amy after the events of the movie. When Amy gives birth, Nick starts shutting her out of their lives...but why? Go investigates!
     ◊ Pre-movie. Five times Nick and Go didn't cross the line and one time they did.
     ◊ Urban Fantasy AU. Nick and Go are twins with psychic abilities. Then people start dying around them. Are they responsible?
     ◊ Fairytale AU. Nick and Go are left in the care of a hungry witch by neglectful parents. Are they able to outsmart the witch and escape? Or are they trapped with her?
     ◊ Pre-movie. Go visits Nick and Amy in New York and picks up on tension between them. Go's way of relieving tension causes problems between all three of them.
     ◊ Canon AU. After Amy disappears, instead of turning to his girlfriend, Nick turns to Go instead. Things go just as badly, if not worse.
     ◊ Post-movie. With Amy struggling with depression after the birth of the baby, Nick invites Go to stay with them and help out. Amy starts making paranoid accusations which explode in passionate, violent ways.

Fanvid-wise, I don't have many requirements as far as "storyline" or whatnot. I love grunge, '90s alt rock, and shoegaze/dreampop but I really like most genres of music. I also dig creative/clever interpretations of lyrics! For this fandom I would love something dark highlighting the obsession, passion, and violence between the characters, maybe using the soundtrack of the movie and/or the music of Timber Timbre (one of my favorite bands).

I kind of unashamedly love Snow White and the Huntsman, and the Snow White/Eric pairing. I haven't seen the sequel, so please feel free to ignore it.

Prompts/ideas:
     ◊ Canon AU. After the movie, a newly crowned Snow White dutifully marries William but the relationship is unfulfilling as her lingering feelings for Eric get in the way. Snow White/Eric endgame isn't necessary. She can cheat on William, or they can break up, have an open or poly relationship, he can pass away, leave, etc. Not picky. Whatever works for you, the author.
     ◊ Canon AU. After Eric's kiss wakes Snow White, she marries him rather than William.
     ◊ Dark AU. After Eric's kiss wakes Snow White, he claims her and takes her as his captive. Stockholm/Lima syndrome, as well as a battle of the minds, ensue. Snow White/Eric endgame not necessary for this one.
     ◊ After Snow White's coronation, Eric finds her alone in the garden (or the throne room or whatever) and they have desperate I'm-probably-never-going-to-see-you-again sex.
     ◊ Future fic. Years later, with William long dead, Snow White's kingdom comes under attack. She calls on her old friend, the Huntsman Eric, for help. They soon realize the passion they denied still consumes them.
     ◊ AU. Snow White and Eric must go on a mission together, posing as a wealthy lord and his servant. Snow White struggles with poor treatment at the hands of the lords they're investigating, while Eric enjoys his new role a bit too much. One thing soon leads to another and the two share a forbidden kiss that's witnessed by a nosy third party. How do they deal with the aftermath?
     ◊ AU or missing scene. Eric and Snow White are traveling together and must share a bed. (If you wanna take this down a sexy route... one of them starts touching themselves while thinking about the other or has a wet dream about the other while platonically sharing a bed together. The other person sees/notices but can't do anything about it and they both suffer in silence. Sexy, sexy silence.)
     ◊ AU or future fic. Queen Snow White demands much of her loyal guardsmen, especially Eric. Domme Snow White and sub Eric?
     ◊ Polyship with Snow White/Eric/(William) with William off doing kingly things. Snow White and Eric have a lot of enthusiastic sex while William happily watches them through magical means (a mirror? something else?). While I want the three of them to be together, I really just want Snow White/Eric with William watching from afar.
     ◊ AU or future fic. Snow White and Eric acquire a baby through magic. Somehow, this brings them together after years of hemming and hawing over their relationship.

Art-wise, I'm not a fan of chibis but everything else goes. I love fannish recreations of famous works of art, like Klimt's The Kiss, Michelangelo's David, Da Vinci's Mona Lisa, and so on. Fanvid-wise, for fantasy fandoms I really like classical, instrumental rock like Explosions in the Sky and This Will Destroy You, and music you wouldn't normally pair with fantasy like grunge, '90s alt-rock, and shoegaze/dreampop.

Maybe Valkyrie isn't good with feelings and is afraid to start a relationship after the heartbreak of losing Blonde Valkyrie (pls give Blonde Valkyrie a real name if she pops up here). Or perhaps Valkyrie worries their attraction could get in the way of their friendship and/or her role as ruler of New Asgard.
     ◊ Post-Endgame or AU. Thor and Valkyrie must pretend to be in a relationship for a mission, which leads both of them to realize they want more than just friendship—but each is convinced the other either looks at them only as a friend or isn't in a position for a relationship. Fake/pretend dating and mutual pining FTW.
     ◊ Endgame AU. Thor stays with Valkyrie at New Asgard to help her rebuild her new kingdom. It's not long before Thor realizes they're essentially dating and everyone around them assumes they're already a couple. However, Thor's convinced Valkyrie isn't interested in him or their chance for a relationship has passed. Of course Thor is wrong and Valkyrie is as much into him as he is into her, but since they're them they've gotta work hard for it.
     ◊ Deleted scenes/missing moments between Valkyrie and Thor during that five year time gap in Endgame. Maybe they come together out of grief, but manage to make something beautiful together in a world shattered and scarred by Thanos and the Decimation.
     ◊ Fake marriage! Thor and Valkyrie have to pretend to be married for some reason. The mission ends up going sideways, but it does help Thor realize he might actually really want to put a ring on it.
     ◊ Accidental baby acquisition! But with an Asgardian bent. Valkyrie and Thor have to pose as a couple for a mission—while shape-shifting Loki poses as their baby/child.
     ◊ Thor and Valkyrie impulsively get married in the aftermath of Endgame, and then immediately have buyer's remorse. Cue some miscommunication and mutual pining as one of them thinks the relationship isn't mutual because the other makes noise about an annulment or divorce but it turns out the one who's talking about divorce thinks the same thing. HEA with Thor and Valkyrie eventually getting out of their own way and staying together (either married or not) pls.
     ◊ Soulmates AU. Thor and Valkyrie are soulbonded on Sakaar.
     ◊ Soulmates AU. Valkyrie and Thor are soulbonded but find the whole thing rather inconvenient.
     ◊ Thor and Valkyrie get dosed with what they think is sex pollen. They manage to fight off the effects but soon realize it wasn't sex pollen—it was a love potion.

James "Bucky" Barnes/Shuri
     ◊ After Endgame, a weary Bucky takes some time for himself and returns to Wakanda to continue healing. There, his friendship with Shuri slowly grows into something more. (T'challa can disapprove of the relationship, if you'd like, but I'd prefer no shovel talks.)
     ◊ After Endgame and the reversal of the Decimation, Shuri has to find her place in a world that's no longer familiar to her. Bucky Barnes has a lot of experience in that regard, and the two lean on each other as they recover, their friendship slowly blossoming into romance..
     ◊ A bad guy kidnaps Shuri for her tech and Bucky vows to tear the world apart until he finds her. Somehow, along the way, inconvenient feelings happen which they both gamely ignore. But once the mission is over, those feelings are still here. How do they cope in the aftermath?
     ◊ Fake marriage! They must pose as a married couple for some reason, and one of them (or both of them) likes the married life a lot more than they thought they would.
     ◊ Shuri gets (non-seriously) injured by a bad guy and Bucky takes care of her and tends to her injury.
     ◊ Bucky gets kidnapped and Shuri goes off to find him.
     ◊ Bucky and Shuri have to take care of a de-aged Avenger and fall for each other in the process. (I'm particularly amused by the idea of a de-aged Tony or Loki fwiw.)
     ◊ Bucky returns to Wakanda to help T'Challa and Shuri rebuild their country after the war and the return of those lost during the Decimation. While there, he and Shuri grow closer but Bucky is reluctant to get too close...until Shuri's safety is threatened.
     ◊ Post-Endgame, Bucky and Shuri wake up married. Whoops. No one's exactly happy about it, least of all Bucky and Shuri. Do they stay married?
     ◊ Bucky and Shuri have to go on the run together. Who's after them? Do they fall in looove? (For the sake of fanfic, yes.)
     ◊ After Endgame, Shuri helps Bucky settle in Wakanda. ~~(With his goats.)~~
     ◊ Bucky and Shuri get hit with a love potion. Can they resist its effects? (Turns out it's not a love potion, it's just a placebo. They played themselves.)

     ◊ I was surprised but pleased to see this ship nominated! After the events of Black Panther, maybe during the gap between the movie and the epilogue, or between Black Panther and Infinity War, Shuri and Ross have a meet up that both soon realize is more a date than a meeting between acquaintances.
     ◊ Ross comes to Shuri for a check up and they reminisce about their time together during Black Panther.
     ◊ Post-Endgame and the Decimation, Ross comes to Wakanda to see for himself that Shuri and T'Challa are alive. They have an affirming, "thank God we're alive" reunion (kissing/sex optional).

Carol Danvers/Yon-Rogg
     ◊ I have complicated feelings about this ship. I feel like most of the feelings are on Yon-Rogg's side so please feel free to play with one-sided/unrequited love for this pairing. (I will love anything you write, so please don't let that deter you!)
     ◊ Missing scene or AU. A sparring session leads to no-strings, feelingsless sex to let out aggression. Except Yon-Rogg wants more.
     ◊ Future fic or AU. After Endgame, Yon-Rogg comes back looking for Carol. The two have an emotionally fraught reunion. (Feelings can be one-sided/unrequited and/or unacted upon.)
     ◊ Future fic or AU. Carol is growing unsatisfied in her one-sided relationship with Yon-Rogg, who thinks everything's just fine. Do they work things out or do things come to a head?
     ◊ "How can you love someone you can't leave?" — Foxygen, How Can You Really.

Carol Danvers/Thor
     ◊ I liked the little interaction we got in Endgame and would adore if someone extrapolated that out into a full-fledged fic. Maybe Carol and Thor bond over their shared life-experiences in quiet moments between the big action sequences.
     ◊ Either set during Endgame or perhaps an AU: Thor and Carol reminisce together about the loved ones they've lost and swap stories over cheap booze before stealing a moment together in their grief.
     ◊ Thor and Carol train together prior to the final battle, and release some pent-up frustration.
     ◊ Future fic or AU. Carol helps Thor deal with his guilt after Endgame.
     ◊ Carol pegs Thor. Can't go wrong with pegging fic, honestly.

Steve Rogers/Natasha Romanov
